The food was so good as always, so fresh it was steaming! We had "Couples Night Out" with our church so there was about 12 couples and we went in about 9ish and we were there about an hour and a half. Our waitress was so great though I didnt catch her name (I will update when I find it) Baris NEVER fails us!

I ordered takeout from the supposed family Italian restaurant tonight. For those, he bragging your reviews about this place you’ve obviously never eaten at a true family Italian place. The food from here is pathetic. The spaghetti and meatballs you could’ve easily got something comparable off the buffet at Golden Corral. My photo proves the point the meatballs are bought meatball that all they do is heat up some kind of way. They’ve never roasted in an oven or been handmade breadcrumbs and they’re just pathetic. The noodles is probably one of the cheapest noodles you can buy. The sauce I don’t know it’s some kind of jar sauce. They bought that big package store. Lasagna is just as bad you’ve got a lasagna noodle meat sauce, lasagna noodle ricotta, cheese, lasagna noodle, and then meat sauce and then mozzarella cheese melted over the meat sauce. That’s it three layers. The sauce is the same as a spaghetti sauce. It’s about jar sauce from some package store. There’s nothing homemade about this meal. You really could’ve got something just as well as dining at the Golden corral You people that think it’s all that good Never have had real Italian food.

A classic casual red sauce joint, there is something comforting in the familiarity Baris offers. The old-school interior and the panoply of familiar favorites (pizza, calzone, spaghetti and meatballs, tortellini, manicotti, and more) will take you back to childhood if you grew up with places like this one. Entrees run in the teens here, which is starting to seem more and more like a value these days. The food, however, is pretty solidly average. I went with spaghetti and white clam sauce, and while I’ve had (and made) better versions of this dish, I appreciated the addition of black pepper. Lara opted for a veggie calzone, which tasted fine yet was decidedly lacking in ricotta. Surprisingly, the rolls (hot, fresh, and generously sized) were above par. Is Baris good Italian? Not if you’ve had much Italian. Is Baris satisfying in its own way? You betcha.

Absolutely loved my experience at Baris Italian! The food was incredibly delicious and tasted so authentic. My server was so sweet and attentive the entire time, which made the experience even better. And the homemade bread? Amazing! I also checked out their catering packages and was really impressed by the fair pricing and generous portions. Thank you, Baris! Next time I’m in Waco, I’ll definitely be back!

Me and my son went for the first time today! Food was pretty good. Loved the fried cheese! I had the shrimp and chicken Alfredo along with dessert to go! Definitely recommend if your looking for authentic Italian!
